After a rocky (literally) first visit Glencoe has become my favourite Scottish snowboarding spot. The terrain is really interesting to ride and the views are stunning. We've ridden there four times this year with very erm.. varied weather conditions but even when we were riding in a downpour it was lots of fun, and on bright sunny days like the photo above I can't think of many other places I'd rather be.
I'd hate to see it shut but we were up over Easter enjoying some spring sunshine and good snow, and the place was soooo quiet. It was very nice for us to have so much space and quiet but I'd expected the place to be a bit busier. I don't know if the membership plans are what the place needs, but it's clear they need to do a bit more self promotion to get people up there whether it's for the snow, mountain biking, walking or just riding the chairlift up and down and having a nice cup of tea while they're at it.
